Projects Cost Engineer
This global organisation is one of the largest independent Oil and Gas exploration companies in Europe with operations in Africa, Europe, South Asia and South America.
The Company is looking for a Concept and Costing Engineer to support the Group Exploration team by building a CAPEX, OPEX and production profile database of current and potential future exploration projects in the core areas of this Company’s operations
Responsibilities:
• Ensure that the Company’s exploration and development teams are using reliable, valid and up-to-date estimates in screening exploration, development and acquisition opportunities.
• Maintain a database of up-to-date industry developments in the current and future areas of operations.
• Work closely and liaise with exploration and engineering teams.
• To assist in all facilities-related aspects of new venture opportunities, as required.
• To contribute to all facilities-related aspects of the Company’s existing assets and business units.
• Supervision of external studies and contractors to pre-agreed work order totals.
• Ensure that the Company is using the very best estimates of capital and operating cost projections in its evaluation of exploration and development opportunities.
• Represent the Company in discussions with major industry facilities contractors, with a view to identifying novel facilities concepts and contractual arrangements.
• Provide engineering support for the development of new business opportunities.
Qualification/Experience Required:
• Engineering Degree
• About 10 years experience, with good all-round technical and project skills
• Experience in developing oil and gas projects with emphasis on offshore platform and sub-sea developments, and onshore remote gas and oil developments.
• Working knowledge of exploration and reservoir engineering activities, in particular the association between facilities and drilling capital and operating expenses and production profiles and reservoir deliverability.
